In 1997, understanding the scarce options for financing in Mexico, Nexxus Capital, together with Zephyr Management, a private equity sponsor firm from New York, founded ZN Mexico Trust with a committed capital of US$ 76.5 million. Five years later, Nexxus Capital continued its growth by raising a second fund, ZN Mexico II, with a committed capital of US$ 119.5 million. In January 2007, Nexxus Capital made the first closing for its new fund Nexxus Capital Private Equity Fund III ( Nexxus III ) with committed capital of US$ 94 million. This fund held its final closing on April 2008 with a total commitment capital of US$144 million. Nexxus III is the first fund raides and managed 100% by Nexxus Capital.
